Fantastic show! Love the China Cat to Rider transition!
That transition between China Cat and Rider is so joyous! And they keep going back to that theme.
All the songs are great. I'm still listening, started w/ Truckin to MLB, then China Cat to Rider, Money Money, Promised Land. Doing it in pieces until I get a good chunk of time to listen through. I really liked the jam out of Truckin' starting at 9:10.
Yes, Donna does have an "impact" at end of Scarlet, but I bet if you were there it sounded fantastic. :) Looking forward to listening to the rest..
Thanks to everyone that worked on this.

A Monster!
This is a MONSTER of a show! Every 5/19 of any year, I think of this show and the tremendous "Truckin'! This matrix a very nice gift from Mr. Dusborne. Thank you so much!

What a shock!
Years ago in 1990 I worked as a dishwasher at a local eatery, but since I lived on a farm I had a good 40 minute (normally) drive to work. After one particularly rough night, I stepped out to puff some before my drive home. Then, the sky opened up and just let loose with a torrential rain. "No big deal" I said to myself, as I got into my high school car, a 1989 Ford Probe GT, and put in a tape. I only mention this, because Ford had decided to really make the sound systems in these cars outrageously fine for a production vehicle. I had an extensive tape collection by then, and I was getting tons of tapes at a time, and some I hadn't had a chance to listen to all the way through. I had just gotten to the latter part of Peggy-O on this tape, and I was, you know, digging on it, but it hadn't left a life-long impression yet. Keep in mind that I did not have the tape cover to reference, so I literally had no idea what I was going to hear. This was in the days of actual cassettes and mystery.
THEN, I start driving, in a driving, thundering rainstorm, listening to the Truckin! Then, what the hell is that??? MLB Jam just makes me almost lose myself as I'm trying to navigate my car. I'm just blown away by the cohesive and flowing jams in the entire Truckin>MLB>NFA>GDTRFB portion to the point of wondering if I had left my own mind somewhere. It was just the most surreal GD experience I had without actually being at a show. Here's to 1974 GD!
I had to shout from the mountain tops about this show to my friends, for whom I had become the taping connection. I basically did all of the leg work, and they would pilfer my collection! I still love them all :-) They were very glad I shared this one.
